SIGNS
Since the beginning of time, we have walked the land to think things through, find our way, reconnect.
Reframing the known landscape, the artwork SIGNS engages with each passing visitor, prompting fresh, positive thought around opportunity and possibility.
The act of walking the land through sculpture allows a brand new perspective to an often familiar path, everything is new. In relation to my artwork SIGNS, inner thought and wayfinding is brought to the pathway, serving to prompt or pick up a thread of conversation with each visitor. SIGNS addresses the inner journey each visitor takes beyond the physical act of walking.
I’d like to think that each visitor shares and adds a little of their personal narrative to each piece. Walking the land shares not only the physical beauty of what's around us, but also brings into focus the inner landscape.
The physical act of walking in the natural world allows space to bring clarity, perspective and direction. The artwork invites consideration that all of the answers are right in front of us, just follow the signs.
